The Cutchogue - New Suffolk Library is hosting a Community Breakfast in their Upstairs Gallery this Saturday. Representatives from local charitable and civic organizations will be there to allow the community to learn more about them. There are so many wonderful organizations in our area, and as we approach the holiday season, there will be much need for help. This is a great opportunity to donate your time to some very worthy causes.
NS Civic Association Board members will be present for anyone that wants to learn more about us!
Also on Saturday, the library is hosting a Scavenger Hunt as part of a 'Great Give Back' event that is occurring throughout the libraries in Suffolk County. Contact the library for more details.

Olivia Foschi is a New Suffolk Resident, and we are very excited to have her perform for us this summer!
Olivia and The Merry Pranksters, are a variety band that will be playing lighthearted and catchy material from the 1930's, 40's and 50's. There will be a variety of music ranging from the American Songbook to Western Swing and Jamaican Calypso.

25th Annual Fourth of July Parade and Community BBQ
10:30am: Line up at the Corner of Tuthill Rd and New Suffolk Road
11am: Parade starts.
Parade continues south on New Suffolk Road and turns left (East) onto Main Street (New Suffolk Ave) and then turns right (South) onto First street and ends at New Suffolk Beach.
Once everyone arrives at New Suffolk Beach, there will be the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence, a brief presentation, and a Community BBQ.
On Saturday, June 17th at 9am, the New Suffolk Civic Association will host our annual meeting at the New Suffolk Schoolhouse.
There will also be a STUDENT'S ART EXHIBIT from works of the New Suffolk School Students on display after the meeting. So please stick around and admire the talent of these young artists.
The New Suffolk Waterfront is holding it's 9th Annual Chowderfest on Saturday, May 27th.
Location: First and Main Streets, New Suffolk
$25 per person / Kids under 12 free.

Lena Maun DeSantis is a North Fork Resident who's daughter Maren has Rett Syndrome, a genetic disorder causing significant disabilities. While debilitating, Rett is also potentially fully curable. We are holding the 2nd Annual Out Run Rett 5K Run / Walk on May 20 in New Suffolk to raise money for research. All funds raised go to the Rett Syndrome Research Trust and their efforts to support the first clinical trial using gene therapy to fix the gene responsible.
Can't run/walk? Come join the fun and cheer others on--there will even be a bake sale run by the sweetest baker around.

This ceremony commemorates all of the US Navy Submarines lost at sea, as well as submariners who lost their lives while serving our country and recently departed shipmates.

We assemble at the beach parking area at 10am, and then split up into groups. Bags and gloves will be provided. Bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes.
This year we will provide lunch on the ball field after the clean up.

This will be an amazing concert of the Soprano Duo: Dana Kowalsick and Kathryn Zukowsk, with their accompanist William Rozlack.
Dana and Katheryn met while working together at a local restaurant in 2005. Shortly after their meeting, they discovered they were both studying for their Bachelor Degrees in Music. It did not take them long to realize that their voices blended beautifully together. The two created the duo Belle Voci and have been performing on the North and the South Forks of Long Island ever since. It is time for these two beautiful performers to sing for us! Some featured songs will include O mio babbino caro from Pucini, the famous Habanera from George Bizet’s Carmen, the Prayer by David Foster, the unforgettable Andrea Bocelli goodbye song Con te partiro and songs from American repertoire as well. Do not miss this very special performance!
Please bring a picnic dinner. Families welcome!

The event is being organized by Jim Baker. Set up starts at 7 am, sales start at 8 am. The NSCA will have a bake sale with free coffee and water (while it lasts.) Volunteers Needed!! All are invited to help with the clean up of the streets and beach in the Hamlet of New Suffolk. On Saturday April 16th, The Annual Spring Clean up will start at 10 am. Meeting place will be the beach parking lot. If a volunteer has a pick up truck, please bring it to help haul garbage bags to the dump. Clean Up Veteran Paul Cacioppo suggests you wear work gloves for the event. Trash Bags will be provided by the NSCA. The New Suffolk School students will be joining in.
Holiday Kick Off Party at the Cedars Golf Club.Beverages and Hors' Douvres will be provided. $10 per person also includes a free golf ball and certificate for a free round of golf. Bring family members and friends.

The Town Board and Planning Board are sponsoring hamlet-specific discussions regarding the future of development within each of the ten hamlets of Southold Town. We want to hear your ideas about land use and zoning within your specific hamlet to aid us in completing the Land Use chapter of our Comprehensive Plan Update. The format of this meeting is a short presentation, then a more interactive segment of discussion items. It will build on the Land Use and Zoning Basics presentation from last summer. Our goal for this meeting is to present the outline of our Land Use Chapter, and gather input through questions designed to help us understand how best to address New Suffolk specifically in the plan.
On Sat. Aug. 29th at 6 pm the NSCA will host the Summer Pot Luck at Fisher’s Field on Old Harbor Road. All residents and their guests are invited to attend. Please bring hors devours or food for 12 people. The cost is $10 per person, children under 12 are free. Wine and water are supplied by NSCA, BYOB.
Due to family illness Opera/Broadway singers Belle Voce, will not be able to perform, on Saturday August 8. Instead, the New Suffolk Civic Association and the New Suffolk School are pleased to bring to the ball field>

will be performing a recital of American and Latin American songs. The concert is free, please join us, and bring a chair and a picnic if you wish. Hope to see you all on the ball field!

People who know nothing else about New Suffolk, know about the Fourth of July parade with its down home and witty floats, marching band, fire trucks, children and just plain folks who come out to wish the USA Happy Birthday. Started years ago by a few brave souls who walked to the beach to read the Declaration of Independence. It has grown to an iconic event that draws participants and spectators from far and wide. All are invited to participate, either individually or as part of a group. The parade forms at the corner of Tuthill and New Suffolk Roads at 10:30 am and at 11 am will proceed down New Suffolk Road to the blinker, turn left onto Main Street, and end up at the Town Beach on the corner of Jackson and First Street. As always, there will be music, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and a picnic sponsored by the Robin’s Island Foundation. Rain Date July 5th.
